SHORT CHICANE/ NO REVERSE,
PLATE-MOUNTED
THE CHICANE ENABLES ANIMALS TO BE SENT EITHER TOWARDS THE RACE OR TOWARDS ANOTHER EXIT, e.g. leading to the loading ramp. The chicane limits reversal of animals within the race. The short chicane has a double no reverse post, and is installed leaving a man passage between the 1/2 corral and the chicane. The plate-mounted short chicane/ no reverse is easy to install on a perfectly flat concrete slab. Good quality concrete will enable plates to withstand animal pushing strain. In the animal passage area, consider creating a concrete area with a brushed surface to prevent slipping. Ground attachment pins not supplied. We recommend 20 cm thick slab minimum with resistance of C25/30 MPa. Please use at least four M12 L160 pins per post.
PLEASE USE HANDLING AREA POSTS: PLATE-MOUNTED BARE POSTS WITH BRACKETS ARE NOT SUITABLE.
